“Growing a sustainable future with Sacha Inchi”
Shalom Health Co., Ltd. is an organic farming company dedicated to promoting sustainable farming practices in Thailand. Our work centers around planting Sacha Inchi, a highly nutritious plant that provides a more eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to traditional farming practices.
The mountain areas of Thailand are home to many indigenous tribes who still rely on traditional farming methods such as “slash and burn.” These methods can cause significant environmental damage, leading to soil erosion, deforestation, and air pollution. The reliance on these traditional methods has led to conflicts between local people and the Thai government, particularly with the Department of National Park, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation (DNP), who are working to preserve the environment and the livelihoods of the indigenous tribes.
Through the planting of Sacha Inchi, we promote sustainable farming practices that require minimal amounts of water and fertilizer and provide a highly nutritious food source. Our work not only promotes soil health but also helps to reduce the negative impact of conventional farming practices on the environment.
As an organic farming company, we use only natural methods to cultivate our crops. Our focus on organic farming ensures that our products are free from synthetic chemicals and pesticides, making them healthier for both the environment and consumers.
By providing a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to farming, we help to protect the environment and provide sustainable livelihoods for the indigenous tribes in the mountain areas of Thailand. We also promote economic growth in the local community by creating job opportunities and providing access to markets for local farmers.
Our work aims to make a positive impact on people’s lives and the environment in Thailand. We are committed to promoting sustainable and organic farming practices and being a part of the solution to the urgent need to change the local farming style, while contributing to the resolution of conflicts between the indigenous tribes and the DNP.
